The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar, during a full moon.Today is 2013 Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival Day.

This day have Chinese people will buy moon cake and enjoy it under a full moon with the family.The moon looks extremely round, big and bright on the 15th day of each lunar month. People selected the August 15 to celebrate because it is a season when crops and fruits are all ripe and weather pleasant.
